Have you ever sat in your vehicle, tires spinning in acouple feet of snow, -30 degree weather, listening toMargaritaville and dreaming of the Islands? If so, youmay be a member of the Calgary Parrot Head Club inCalgary, Alberta Canada. To be fair, that would besome of the worst weather Calgary experiences in thewinter and it is, for the most part, a mild climate andeven hot in the summer at times. The Calgary ParrotHead Club was founded in 1996, and is a phun-lovingand friendly Club of a great 19 year history. Around100 members strong, with Parrot Heads north of the border there are changes in latitudes,but the attitude remains quite the same in “partying with a purpose” which includes multipleevents every year. Events include Calgary Mardi Gras, Spring Phling, Golf Tournaments,BBQs, Labour Day Weekend Show, Bocce Ball Tournament, Camping, Christmas Phling andother community and charity work such as river & pathway clean-ups, homeless shelter vol-unteering, happy hours and many other great events. Calgary has its own Jimmy Buffett Trib-ute Band, the pH Unbalanced Band, and the band and Club team up to make for someamazing events!The Calgary Parrot Heads have a busy social calendar and gather the Phlock as much aspossible to always Party with a Purpose.
